Kayli Byington Obituary

Kayli Byington
10/13/1965 ~ 8/29/2012
Kayli Byington returned home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday August 29, 2012 after a long hard battle with addictions. Her advice is to NEVER START, because of the painful outcome.
Kayli graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and served an LDS mission to Minneapolis. She spent many years volunteering and helping others. She worked at the U of U Hospital as a EKG specialist and Volunteers of America. Kayli was known by all for her loving and giving heart.
She is survived by her son, Kaden age 5, the love of her life, parents, DeVerl and Joan Byington, brothers and sisters; LaDell and Paul Burgon, Tracy and Keri Byington, Sheri and Scott Barker, Troy and Joe, many nieces and nephews.
Kayli is finally pain free and at peace.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden Stake Center, 1028 W. 1000 N. Pleasant Grove with a viewing prior to the services from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the family.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.

Came back for a quick visit with Kayli. The world was just a little better when she was in it.

Got an email today about the guest book for Kayli. I came back here to just remember her a little. I certainly wish she was still with us. She was a sweet and caring person, who everyone loved to be around. I as well as many of her friends miss her.

I wish I had never googled Kayli Byington, to see how she was doing. I am crying right now, so many years after her death, I just found out. I remember the time she accidentally rear ended someone in the drive thru of a fast food place in Rochester, Mn. She was visiting after her mission. She had taught me the lessons, etc. I am in shock right now.

My memories of Kayli in Minnesota are ones of smiles, laughter and incredible compassion when I was new, struggling and felt very alone. My thanks to you, my dear, our small interaction blessed my entire mission.

Fishing Phalen Park MN, with Sister Byington (1989). Kayli was always a great deal of fun to be around. She thought this would be a good photo-op.

I knew Kayli during her time with the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I had the honor of serving with her and Sister Evans. Kayli was an absolute pleasure to know and serve with. Happy and smiling every day. We looked forward to spending time with her, she had a way of making hard days seem like nothing at all. I sure wish she was still with us. We spoke a few times between now and then…she never let me know things were that bad. I certainly miss the days that she lightened with her presents. You will be missed Miss Byington.
Thank you for the memories,
Dan Holland

Oh Sweet Kayli, I am so sorry. I am sorry that we never actually got together this summer, all of those "phone tag calls"! I am going to miss you so much. You are one of the kindest people I have ever met and it is bittersweet to know that you are free! I will never forget you and always love you! Linda

I loved my girlfriend Kayli!!! She brought out a "funner" side of life all throughout junior high & high school. I look forward to eternal life; laughing uncontrollably with Kayli, again.
To the entire Byington Family- my God bless and comfort you, you're in my thoughts and prayers.
