Robert Rasmussen Obituary
11/24/1938 ~ 5/29/2016
Moroni, UT-Robert Glen Rasmussen, 77, born on November 24, 1938 in Moroni, Utah, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2016, in Payson, Utah, due to complications as a result of a stroke. Robert was the son of Glen R and Valene Sorensen Rasmussen. He graduated from Moroni High School in its last graduating class. He served a full time mission for the LDS Church in the Gulf States Mission. He met his eternal companion, Joyce Burnett Rasmussen while attending Utah State University and they were married on September 7, 1962 in the Logan Utah Temple. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting. Joyce and Robert had two sons, Robert Scott Rasmussen and Michael David Rasmussen. He served in several LDS Church callings and enjoyed serving in any calling but particularly enjoyed working in the scouting programs. His testimony of the gospel never wavered and that testimony has been carried on by his family, grandchildren and in the lives of those he worked with. He loved working in accounting and his career centered in medical practice management where he made many friends over the years. He retired in 2011 and moved back to Moroni, Utah having lived in Bountiful, Utah for over 40 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Valene and his son Michael. He is survived by his wife Joyce and his son Scott (Elizabeth) and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Moroni, Utah Stake Center on June 9, 2016, at 11:00 am. A short viewing will precede the funeral from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Moroni City Cemetery.
