I loved that man! He was such a good person. He not only helped me with my teeth :), but he was such a kind man.

I just discovered that Eric had passed away from the memoriam listings in the Creighton Alumni magazine that came in my mail today. I was sad and sorry to hear of his premature passing.
As I understand it, Eric was instrumental in inspiring his patient, Dr. Clark PHD, to invent a cordless X-ray machine that could be taken on his humanitarian missions throughout the world. Dr. Clark proceeded to do so and ended up inventing and designing the Nomad. I was one of the first to be introduced to this phenomenal invention as an evaluating dentist for CRA, now CR. I loved it so much that I now own three. I constantly use them in my practice. I've also utilized them on several humanitarian missions. Thank you Eric for your never ceasing example of service. You are a giant among men in so many ways. Your legacy will live on forever.
My condolences,
John E. Goodrich DDS

I was working as a dental assistant for Dr. Whatcott when Dr Vogel started practicing with Dr. Whatcott. He truly was a kind person. So great to work with. I'm very sad to see that he passed away.

I just found out Eric passed away. Eric did the porcelain veneers on my front teeth and I have had so many compliments. After 10 years they are all in place. An excellent dentist and human being. I will miss him. God bless his family!

I was so sad to have recently heard of Eric's passing! I don't facebook or social media much yet. Eric taught my pre-dental course at BYU- which was amazing. For the short time I knew him he inspired me greatly and have since told many people about his work with the homeless and the model they used. I have been practicing dentistry for two years now and appreciate the short time I was able to know him. I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but he was a very good man, could tell that the first time meeting him. Thanks Eric! Hope and prayers for your family!
