Dear Reid and Family. Many fond memories have come to mind since learning of Olive's passing.
She was a glowing example to many of us who knew her since were kids raised in Old Granger.
Please accept our heart felt condolences for this loss of wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Olive, your obituary is beautiful. It expresses well the Plan of Salvation. You and Reid have always been very kind friends to me and my family. I rejoice with you and know that for a short time, you two will be separated (but not really), until you reunite for the eternities. May peace and comfort be with your family; our prayers are with you. Love, Barry Kirk and family

Oh Reid and Steven and all. What an adorable woman dear Olive is. She kept on bringing smiles even after she left the party. I'll never forget her and you Reid for your kindness and friendship when us kids were teenagers. And then later in life running into you at Harmons was always a pleasure. Many years have passed but her smile, her voice, and her sense of humor echo in my mind with love. Always, Betty Cook (Lopez)

I cannot even comprehend the thought that sweet Olive has left this existence for the next chapter of her life. She has always been such a sweet, caring person to everyone she came in contact with. She always made me feel so important to her. Her concern was always for others. What an example of true womanhood. I am go grateful for the privilege of knowing her. I'm so glad that I was able to share "our Mothers' Day pedicure" together. We had a wonderful time chatting about everything. I extend my love to the family as I know her passing has left a big hole in your hearts. What an awesome lady. May the Lord comfort and give you the peace you need to sustain you through this heartbreaking trial. Love to you all, Connie and Ken Bean

Reid & Family,
My heart aches hearing of the passing of your sweet Olive :(
I grew up in your ward..(Jack & Melba Batt's daughter) & Olive always knew who I was when I ran into her @ a store no matter how many years had gone by...maybe 30-50!! What an angel. My folks always spoke highly of your family.
Sincerely, Bev Taylor

Sister Olive was always such a joy to be around! She offered me valuable counsel that helped so much when I was a mother of young children working full-time outside the home and feeling overwhelmed. I will always treasure her loving example. May God's peace be with her family.

Dear Petersens,
I'm so sorry that I can't be with you at this heartbreaking time. Olive is a wonderful Auntie. She has a dear and ever present place in my heart. The annual family party at your house on the 24th, home made ice cream and sparklers are some of my favorite childhood memories.
I'm thinking of you and wish that I could be with you.
Love,
Connie

Dear Reid and Family,
I have so many amazing memories of the time we spent being your neighbors; there never was nor ever will be better ones. You made life so much fun; I have so many memories of time spent in your home. The sound of both of you laughing will be forever etched in my mind. You both taught thru love and example the wonderful truths of the gospel. Olive was my Mom away from home, and I thank you all for sharing her with me. I have spent time thinking about the grand reunions she must be having with both friends and family. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of her life and yours. Sincerely with love Shauna Porter Monson

Dear Reid & family, we were sick in our heart hearing the passing of Olive. She truly was one of the greatest ladies. When she was RS President and I was Elders Pres. We were in same meeting and there never was a more compassionate lady, for loving lady I had every met. Even though I haven't seen either of you for years my heart is heavy and feel a void in the world without her in it. We have the Gospel which teaches us of the great happiness she's now enjoying and the time when we will be with her again.
Love,
Jim & Stephanie Gorton

Thank you for being such a wonderful person and truly appreciate that I knew you. It's hard to think you are gone so soon after losing mom and dad. Just tell them hi for me and yes I know they are keeping tabs on all of us.

When I was Relief Society President (2000), I had a phone call one day from Sister Olive Peterson. She called to tell me that three large sisters' had gone missing in the library at the church building. All I could think of was who might be the three large sisters in the ward (besides myself), and I couldn't figure out how they had gone missing. After a few minutes into the conversation, I finally figured out she had said scissors', not sisters'. I have laughed about that incident many times since then. THANK YOU OLIVE, YOU WILL BE MISSED! - ROCHELLE HALLING
