Annelies Erna Nitschka Perkins, beloved wife, mother, oma, sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the hospital in Murray, Utah.
She was born on October 30, 1942 in Breslau, Germany. After the war her family settled in Fuerth, Germany. She attended business school, where she got her degree. She served an LDS mission in Munich, Germany. She immigrated to the USA in the '60s and worked for the LDS Church Translation Department. In 1972 she met her lifelong love, Garren, and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple.
She loved gardening, cooking and entertaining. She enjoyed visiting and talking with neighbors, family and friends. She was known in her family, church and the German community for her excellent German food and her willingness to help anyone in need. She was very spiritual and active in the LDS church and held many callings including librarian and relief society president. She enjoyed being a temple ordinance worker with her husband in the Jordan River Temple.
Annelies is survived by her daughter, Lisa and sons, Donny (Melinda), Darren (Cynthia), Danny and David; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother, Werner; Sister in-law, Helga.
Funeral services held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Taylorsville 3rd Ward LDS Chapel on 1457 W. Atherton Dr. (4355 S.). Viewings will be held at the same building on Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. and on Friday before the service from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
