Dear George and family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. Cheryl was a true friend to me in my time of need. Without her love and support, I don't know how I would have made it through a very difficult time in my life. Working with her at American Fork Junior High was always fun; she was a great teacher and mentor.
She will always be remembered as a wonderful teacher, a beautiful person and a true friend.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Feland Family; I am truly saddened by the news of such a wonderful woman, and I wish I could have been there in support. Cheryl will never be forgotten by all of us she served while in YW. She was always at the right place and right time, ready with a big hug and ears & heart wide open.
We will truly miss our Cheryl.

What a beautiful tribute to Cheryl we heard today at her funeral! I found the same things to be true that were said of her. She is a wonderful pure beautiful person who cared more about others then she did about herself. She has been a example to all of us, as well as the youth that she lead. I appreciate the time that she spent as a leader to my girls. On top of that she was a great wife and mother. It doesn't get better then that! Thanks Cheryl we will miss you!

George, JR and Josh,
Bonnie and I were very saddened to hear of the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and our dear friend. If it had not been for friends forwarding the announcement we would not have heard. We will have to be represented by our daughter Kristen who will attend the viewing in our absence. We will finish our mission in Johannesburg, South Africa in September. It was wonderful to work with Cheryl at AFJH for so many years when we were all younger. Cheryl was always the life of the party and even helped me with a few practical jokes on other faculty members. We had some great department social at our various houses and if Cheryl ran out of things to say then George could always step in with some appropriate Cowboy Poetry. Thanks Cheryl for all the sweet memories as we worked together. It is great to find students we have taught all over the country that recognize the influence we had on them. I ran into 3 missionaries here in South Africa that were my former students. Cheryl will be missed by all and especially her family. We can be thankful for the Gospel and the knowledge that we can soon be together again. Your wife and mother has gone to a better place to make preparation for the time when we can join together again as family and friends. Knowing Cheryl she is probably already planning some practical jokes that she can use on me at a later date. We will add your family name to the prayer roll of the Johannesburg Temple. Our love goes out to all of you at the time of this great loss. Lewis and Bonnie Ivie

Cheryl and I started our careers together, and for twenty-five years we were best friends. We were both Idaho "Spud Queens", and were the founding partners of the "Power Babes". What fond memories I will always treasure... and trust me, Cheryl is also laughing at these memories !!!
George, J.R., and Josh my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was a painfully shy person at age 15 in high school when a group of girls, with Cheryl in the lead, took me into their circle. She seemed to know who I was because my mother had been one of her favorite teachers in grade school. She reached out to me in a time of great distress. I think that simple act of friendship changed my life. My great regret is that I did not keep in touch with her. It sounds like she has been lighting little fires of love and friendship for the last 30 years.

Ms. Feland was one of my most favorite and insightful teachers during my years at Mountain Ridge Junior High. I don't think I will ever forget the names of every single country and capital thanks to her. Not only was she a magnificent Geography teacher, but she was my friend. I looked forward to seeing her smile and hearing her cheerful voice everyday. She will be missed and remembered by so many people in her community. Thank you Ms. Feland for being such a positive influence in my life and so many others'.

Mrs. Feland was a fantastic teacher. She was creative in her teaching and we could always tell she cared about us. She was also in charge of yearbook staff my 9th grade year and she made it so fun for us and encouraged us to be creative as well do excellent work. She was one of my favorite teachers. I am sad to hear her life was cut short. I'm sure she will be missed greatly by her family. My prayers go out to her family.

I will forever love and appreciate this woman--she taught me by example how to walk the fine line between friend and teacher. I am clearly one of those spoken of who were inspired by the personal touch only she could have on "teaching." Her sense of humor and practical jokes got us both through the two years in which I was her student, and the decades since...in which we have been friends. Her actions (not just words) demonstrated to me how one could love life and all it had to offer while excelling on a daily basis in living your beliefs. Thank you Cheryl; I can only hope my child enjoys a teacher whose good example and influence in her life is as impactful as yours has been in mine.
I will continue to miss you dearly.
