I was very sad to hear about Brother LeBaron's accident which took his life so suddenly. I worked for CES for 20 years, 13 of which I was Brother Stan Peterson's secretary, and so I had the privilege of knowing Brother LeBaron for many years. He was truly a fine man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and associated with him. My prayers and sympathy are with his wife and children. It is so difficult to lose your husband and father. May God bless you always. Sincerely, Claudia Marble - Herriman, Utah

I knew Dale LeBaron as Bishop LaBaron. He was a young bishop in Riverton, Wyoming. He was put into this calling and soon afterwards my brother Marc Eldredge died on a scout hike. I believe this event was many firsts for the Bishop. He was very kind and tender with my family in the grieving process. We lived on the Prison Farm and he made many trips out to the farm to help us. He was especially helpful with my brother Randy who needed this extra care. Bishop LaBaron tried everything he knew to help Randy through this time. I remember him giving each of the young priesthood holders of the ward a silver dollar to start their misson funds. My family will always be in debt to him for his greatness as a man and as a priesthood leader. He has always been the Bishop I think of when I think of great Priesthood holders. Rebecca Eldredge Hoyt

We want to let the LeBARON family know how much we sorrow for your great grief. Cannot imagine your difficult time right now. Bro. LeBARON interviewed us briefly for our visit to West Africa when he was busy writing for the Church. We adored him. He was so kind, so good. His work here was undoubtably finished, and what a wonderful work he did do. May Heavenly Father bless you soon with peace. Lowell and Shirley Diamond

We are saddened by the sudden passing of Brother Dale LeBaron and want to express our love and condolences to Laura and family. We met Brother Dale in Zimbabwe shortly after our baptism in 1973. We helped him establish the Seminary and Institute programs in Zimbabwe, and enjoyed his leadership as Mission President thereafter. We will miss him dearly and appreciate all that he did for us. Till we meet again!

During my time as an undergraduate at BYU, I worked as a computer tech for the religion department. During that time I had several opportunities to work for Brother LeBaron as he cataloged the hundreds of hours of interviews from the African saints. Although he was never my teacher, I was always impressed with his kindness and his gentle approach to everyone. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a great man and will be deeply missed.

I'm so grateful for Brother LeBaron and the many things he taught me in his "Teachings of the Living Prophets" course at BYU. I took this class shortly before leaving for my mission in 1997 and I was so grateful for how he helped strengthen my testimony prior to my missionary service. About one month ago I went through and re-read my course packet again. I'm so saddened to now here of the loss of this good man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Thank you for sharing him with many students at BYU - we were all richly blessed to know him.
