F. LaMarr Hutchison, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on February 7, 2013.
LaMarr was born May 5, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ruby Bullock and Benjamin Edgar Hutchison. He married Delores Gattung on November 15, 1961, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
He graduated from South High. LaMarr served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was well known as co-owner and meat cutter at Thriftway Market. He was also employed by Westcon, and loved serving 19 years as a Bailiff for Salt Lake County. He was a member of the LDS Church and served in many organizations.
LaMarr was strong in mind, body and spirit to the end. He was known as "the candy man" to many children. He loved big band music, traveling, and getaways to Idaho Falls. LaMarr was best known for his big heart and great sense of humor, and he easily made friends wherever he went. His greatest joys were his family, and his devotion was unwavering.
LaMarr is survived by his wife of 51 years; daughter, Holly; grandsons, Daxx, Zane and Jeb, three sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and friends. LaMarr was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Richard and Paul; and grandson, Jake.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 12th from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Funeral Services will be held at the 26th Ward, Salt Lake Pioneer Stake, 1145 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church
Special thanks to doctors, nurses, IMC 9th Floor and ICU staff, and especially the wonderful staff at Care Source Hospice in Salt Lake who gave tender loving care to LaMarr.
