Frances T. Nielson

1933 - 2015

Centerfield, UT-Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Frances Faye Taylor Nielson, age 82, passed away in Provo, Utah on Sunday September 6, 2015. after sustaining injuries from a fall in her home.
She was born February 27, 1933 in Altha, Florida, a daughter of William Frank and Louie Vilante Stanford Taylor. She was the youngest of three children born to them.
At age 14, she came to Utah, all alone, seeking to live in the land of Zion to be with and study more about the LDS religion of which she was already a member and loved so much.
She graduated from Jordan High School and went on to graduate from LDS Business College, where she met and married Robert Clair Bown in 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had three children and later divorced. She then married Ira J. Nielson on June 17, 1965 in Salt Lake City. They then had one child together. Their marriage was later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on June 17, 2004. Ira preceded her in death on August 17, 2013.
She is survived by her children: Connie and James Eldridge of Westminster, California; Rob and Shari Bown of Richfield; Blaine and Claudia Nielson of Axtell; Kent and Kantima Bown of Midvale; Michael Nielson of St. George; Mary Maes of Richfield; Rachel Nielson and Teena Snyder of Centerfield; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira; a grandson, Justin Lynn Bown; a brother, Vance Taylor and a sister, Lucille Dworak.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Axtell 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. or Wednesday morning from 11:00-12:30 prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
