Wow, it seems like yesterday Steve and I were entertaining you and your wife with fake sword play in your Orem front yard before working on Keven's black 1966 Chevelle. May God be with your whole family.

Gaylen was a wonderful colleague at the School of Music - Brigham Young University. We shared many good moments together, and I have fond memories of a kind and very well respected teacher and mentor to students. It was my pleasure to know Gaylen and to have many experiences with him through our association at Brigham Young University.
Sincere condolences to all the family.....

Dear Sister Hatton, I am so sorry I didn't hear about your loss until last week. You have been such a wonderful caregiver to your husband and went through so much. Yet you were always so diligent, so pleasant, so loving. You are truly my hero. I understand that you are coming back to the Temple on Saturday a.m. It will be wonderful to work with you again. My love, respect, and prayers are with you and your family. The Temple has kept me going for the past 2 yrs. since Vern passed away. Take care of yourself and remember that we all love you very much. God Bless! Claudia (Sister Marble)

Dear Family, What a blessing Gaylen was to us all. Such a kind gentle soul, whose love for music touched us all. He will be remembered dearly for his sense of humor and postive outlook on life. He will always be my favorite Sunday School teacher. He taught from his heart and his testimony and impressed upon us his love for the Savior and the relationship he had with Him. He will be missed but we are so thankful he no longer hurts. Love Kent and Jill Ludlow.

I will remember Gaylen Hatton as one who demonstrated the same kind of respect for his students as he did his colleagues. His gentle mannerisms softened his extensive knowledge of his field as he taught. My most heartfelt sympathy goes to his family.
