INEZ PEARSON

Inez Geneva Thompson Pearson 1921 ~ 2010 Orem, UT- Inez Geneva Thompson Pearson returned to her Heavenly Father on January 7, 2010. Inez was born on July 8, 1921 to Joseph Fredrick and Margaret Elizabeth Wayman Thompson, in Millburne, Wyoming. In 1932 the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Inez attended the old Jordan High School where she found many great heroes in her teachers. In 1940 she married Frank Perry Pearson. Their first child, Delbert Perry, was born in 1941, and after a long wait, Kitty Jean joined their family in 1956. Inez was an independent, loving lady who always tried her best to take care of her family. She loved being a grandmother and making gifts for her grandchildren. She held many jobs from babysitting to lunch lady to seamstress. After she retired she still kept busy making crafts, crocheting, and making doilies. She also enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles. Inez was active in her church responsibilities including Young Women, Visiting Teaching, Primary, Relief Society and Ward Choir. She had a strong testimony of the mission and atonement of Jesus Christ. Inez is survived by her sisters Ezna Burns Greene, Wanda Rampton, and Beryl Davis. She is also survived by her children Delbert (Dixie) Pearson of Provo, UT and Kitty (Doyle) Mortimer of Orem, UT. Her 17 grandchildren are Greg (Mary), Nikki (Clair), Bryan (Corina), David (Angelee), Jenny, Elizabeth (Brad), Melissa (Matt), Timothy (Kristine), Amanda (Jayson), Benjamin (Melissa), Anna, Suzy (Shane), Daniel (McKell), Julie (Jake), Carrie (Nate), Sarah, and Joseph, as well as 35 great-grand children with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by Frank, her parents, and her siblings Orlondo, Annie, Zillah Thayne, Louis, Lawrence, and Reva Braithwaite. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 at 12 noon in the LDS chapel at 5921 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
