Thank you so much to everyone who shared messages and memories. We all completely adored, loved and cherished our dad and grandpa. He was a lot of fun and a wonderful Christ-like example.

Unless you had served alongside a man of such remarkable distinction it would be difficult to appreciate the value of his influence, and yet, above all, the thing I'll miss the most was the mischief, and that wonderful twinkle in his eye... Sadly missed.

As an island girl serving in the Texas Dallas Mission, I appreciated his warmth and understanding. He always had a smile for us. I was truly a great man. I am glad to have known him....Vika taukolo---Nuku'alofa, Tonga

As one of President Bushnell's missionaries of the Great Texas Dallas Mission I was privileged to know and appreciate President and Sister Bushnell. A great leader and genuinely good man who taught me many things. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as I will not be able to attend the funeral. I loved the time I was able to spend associating with him

Our family has had the privilege to have known this great man for many years. Men like Merrill don't come around very often. This marks an end of a lifetime of community service, achievement, and devotion for family and a myriad of friends. We rejoice that he now has full strength to continue those activities on the other side. To our dear friends in the Bushnell and Wiest family we extend our love and sympathy.

Grandpa Merrill was a great man that I looked up to as another Grandpa Bushnell. He always had a smile on his face and treated everyone as his own. He will be missed but I'm sure he'll be happily reunited with his family in Heavan.
Best regards,
