Kent Hansen Stevens

1941 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Monroe, Utah
On November 28, 2017, our good brother, uncle and friend, Kent Hansen Stevens, 76, passed beyond this world to be with his parents, sister, Nancy and brother, Victor. He passed away in Richfield, Utah. He was born July 26, 1941 to Lyle and Leah Hansen Stevens.
Kent carried the pain and restrictions of the disease of Ankylosing Spondylitis for over 40 years, handling it admirably, living a life of generosity, of worth and value. We remember two notes on his refrigerator: "Don't sweat the small stuff" and "Everything is small stuff". He was a concerned and skilled caretaker for his parents. He took nephews and nieces in his 4x4 Blazer to fish, hunt and find rocks, autumn leaves and Christmas trees. He was tolerant and patient with people others might ignore. Family history movies he filmed and videotaped are family treasures. He owned and maintained home rentals. He was independent minded, self sufficient and could repair tv's, cars, refrigerators, chain saws, etc.
Kent is survived by his siblings: Mitchell (Carmen) Stevens, Carolyn (John) Campbell; brother-in-law, Dennis Chapman; sister-in-law, Diane Stevens, along with 21 nephews & nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Nancy Chapman, Victor Stevens.
