LaNae J Webb Obituary
LaNae J Webb "What are you gonna wear" In the wee hours of July 5, 2018 we lost our best friend, partner in crime, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and just plain Nae. She carried many titles but none as important as friend.

She was born on the kitchen table in Spanish Fork on Oct. 11, 1936. To the proud parents, Jane Huntington and Johnny B. Jones. The baby of the family. All 6 siblings have gone on to their reward.

She married Glenn Webb, with whom she had 3 children. Steven (Mary) Webb, Cathy (Richard) Nieser and Eric (Tracy) Webb who preceded her in death. They produced 5 grandchildren, Beven, Misty, Amanda, Catrina and Kasie. Also 8 great grandchildren. As well as numerous Kids who sing “NAE” in unison when she comes through the door.

LaNae's list of accomplishments and careers are numerous. She was the queen of reinventing herself. If it sounded fun she did it. She took no guff. She was a go getter. If she needed a job she found one.

She tried her hand at hair after beauty school, then moved to retail, then accounting, then secretary and personal assistant. When she fell into what became her niche with the West Jordan Police Department as a dispatcher. That led her to become the constable of West Jordan court for many years. She needed a stable paycheck and insurance, so she began working nights for American Express security and transporting prisoners during the day. LaNae was an advocate and volunteered with Victim Assistance, sacrificing many sleepless nights.

She retired in 2003 just to get some rest. Then to combat the boredom, her last foray was as an usher at “the Arena” where she met many great friends. Ever the social butterfly, she painted ceramics at Murray Senior Center in her spare time.

Continuing health issues, hospital stays, and increasing pain created a rapid decline in her quality of life. She's now at peace and pain free. We are eternally grateful for the time and love we received from her, as her heart was the biggest we've seen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Mountain Shadows 7th Ward, 7925 South 2700 West, West Jordan.
