1942 ~ 2013|
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away in his home in Midway on Sunday, August 25. He left this earth as he lived his life - surrounded by family and music. LeeR was born to goodly parents on August 1, 1942 in Fillmore, Utah. He was sealed to the love of his life Karen Strong on March 18, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; their love will continue throughout eternity.
LeeR dedicated his life to serving his family and others, particularly through his callings in the LDS church, whether as a choir director, member of the Philadelphia stake presidency, missionary in Finland, or service missions with Karen.
LeeR received his BA and MBA from the U of U, and at age 68 completed his PhD in Math at BYU. He worked as an actuary throughout the world, including four years in Tokyo.
After a courageous and inspiring battle with aggressive bone cancer, he now joins his parents Elwood and Libbie Lambert, aunts, uncles, niece and nephew. He is survived by his wife, ten children, eleven grandchildren, three brothers and sister.
His infectious enthusiasm, infinite patience, and unconditional love inspired friends around the world.
In honor of LeeR's love to party, we will celebrate his life at our home on Wednesday August 28 from 6-8. Funeral will be held Thursday, August 29, 11AM, at the Midway LDS stake center - 165 N Center St.; viewing one hour prior. Online condolences may be left at www.WasatchLawn.com.
