LOIS OLDHAM Obituary

Lois Lynn Oldham In Loving Memory Lois Lynn Oldham - loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend - passed away peace-fully Jan. 28, 2010, at her home in Riverton, Utah from a heart condition. She was 54. Lois, a talented and compassionate woman, was born May 23, 1955, in Glendale, Calif., and grew up with her parents and three siblings in Simi Valley, where she attended school, made friends and started a family. She was a determined and attractive woman, and worked as a fashion model before settling on a career in nursing. Often witty but always caring, she could laugh at herself and others. Family remembers her as having a heart of gold, and her life and career were devoted to the service of others. In her first marriage, she had two children, Aaron and Alicia, and in the early 1980s she moved from the warmer climate of Southern California to Riverton, Utah; her second marriage was with Chad Oldham, with whom she had a third child, Dustin. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader, often telling them how proud she was of their accomplishments. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A believer, Lois loved God, family and country, and enjoyed the simple things in life, such as picnics in the park and playing with her grandchildren. Lois is deeply loved, sorely missed, and always remembered. She is survived by her children Aaron (Lori) Jackson, Alicia Jackson, and Dustin Oldham and stepchildren Tory (Brandon) Miller, Zack (Lacy) Oldham, and Mindy (Ryan) Ericson; grandchildren Ethan and Lucas Jackson and Easton Oldham and Kyri Miller; mother Vivian Weeks; siblings Craig (Peggy) Weeks, Cara (Rich) Ellison, and Andrew (Heidi) Weeks; nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her father Floyd Weeks. A great reunion is taking place on the other side. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the Riverton 18th Ward, 2361 West, 13400 South, Riverton, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
