Marilyn Jackman and Jessica Jackman Obituary
Marilyn Jackman & Jessica Jackman
In Loving Memory
Marilyn Webb Jackman (57) of South Jordan, Utah returned to her Heavenly Father Thursday, June 20th at Lake Powell, her favorite place on earth. Marilyn was born February 12th, 1956 to Harriet and Dail Webb, the last of 5 children (Taunie, Ken, Marci, and Allen). Growing up in Bountiful, she developed a love for camping, snowmobiling, boating, water skiing, and the beauty of nature. A passionate U of U sports fanatic, she especially enjoyed football, basketball, and tennis. Beloved by her husband (Adrian), 5 children (Stacy, Laura, Matthew, Spencer, and Jessica), and 8 grandchildren, her life was defined by selfless service, a love of the Savior, and Christ-like charity that made everyone who knew her feel special. She was happiest when surrounded by her family playing games, on family trips, watching movies, or just laughing and being together. Marilyn loved attending the temple several times a week, and now continues that important work on the other side of the veil.
Jessica Allison Jackman (22) went hand-in-hand with her mom while on vacation with family at Lake Powell. In her words, "It truly is Heaven on earth". She made a lasting positive impression on anyone she met. Jess was well known for her love of reading, movies, and peanut M&M's. Although her body was limited physically, she was a spiritual giant who was an example in overcoming adversity and obstacles with a cheerful attitude and contagious laughter. She never let her handicaps define who she was or get in the way of accomplishing her goals - driving a car, learning to cook, earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Westminster College, going on a service mission for the LDS church, and getting a job. She was an amazing example of staying focused on the important things in life: her testimony of Jesus Christ and keeping strong ties with all of her friends and family members. Now free from her physical limitations, she can finally skip, dance, and jump for joy as she awaits her perfect body.
A joint viewing will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 30th at the LDS chapel located at 9894 S. 2700 W. in South Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 1st at the same location. Online condolences may be shared at
