Patricia Ann Thompson
1935 ~ 2018
Fruit Heights, UT-Patricia Ann Thompson, age 82, passed away peacefully September 3, 2018 due to advanced dementia. She was born September 24, 1935 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William (Bill) Topham and Ethel Butler Topham. She was 10 years old when her family moved to Rexburg, Idaho where she spent the rest of her childhood and graduated from Madison High School in 1953. She loved to dance which helped her become a cheerleader in high school and also for the one year she attended Ricks College. As a teenager she converted to The and was a stalwart, lifelong member and served wherever she was asked. She especially excelled in her Relief Society callings serving twice as President. She married Leland Thompson on June 28, 1956 in the Idaho Falls Temple. She had an engaging personality and made many friends wherever she went. She was kind, compassionate and happy. She loved animals - especially several dogs that held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed watching BYU sports and the Utah Jazz. Growing up, all she ever wanted was to be a mother. She was the best mom ever to four sons and a daughter. She is survived by her eternal companion Leland Thompson; her children and their spouses Jett and Paula Thompson, Brett and Patty Thompson, Janet and Dean Clark, Jerome and Ann Thompson and Lance and Rachel Thompson; her sister Dolores Holley; her 20 grandchildren, her 20 great-grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. Please join us as we honor her life at a viewing on Friday, September 7th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, Utah. A viewing will be held Saturday, September 8th from 11:45-12:45 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Fruit Heights 6th Ward chapel, 77 South Orchard Dr, Fruit Heights, Utah.
