I have such fond memories of Rhonda that go back to high school. Some of us were talking about going to Shakespeare festivals together. So sad that won't happen. I was so looking forward to hooking up with Rhonda again.

I didn't know Rhonda well, but I remember her kind and caring attitude when she was a counselor at Cyprus. I had several children go through there and I worked in the PTA, so I had amny ocassions to talk to her and she always was very helpful. She will be missed, but be comforted knowing she is in the arms of our Savior now, and enjoying freedom from pain! I am glad to have known her even a little!

"Rhonda was an amazing person, and she will be sorely missed. She had a knack for always looking on the bright side of things and I always enjoyed talking to her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as deal with this tragic loss. I'm pretty sure death will not slow her down, and you can bet that her testimony will be a light and beacon to many beyond the veil."

To my friend Sid and his family. Roxana and I have enjoyed being your Home Teachers these many years. I realized today, at the celebration of Rhonda's life, that I only got to know a very small portion of her life. I'm sorry now that I didn't make more of an effort to know her better, but I am very grateful for the times we did spend together in your home. I also was grateful for her well-prepared Gospel Doctrine classes, although my Sunday School calling prevented my attending most of them. I know that she sacrificed some of her time with her husband, so that you, Sid, and I could enjoy our friendship golfing together, and for that I am very grateful. I hope that we can share such times again, when you're ready, Sid. May all the Blessings of Heaven be yours.
Your friend and Home Teacher,

I grew up in St. Anthony, Idaho, and went to church and school with Rhonda. In the eighth grade we danced with a dummy between us that carried into the high school. She loved good books and music and always knew the latest hits. Even though I haven't seen her for years, I know she had all the attributes for a very strong person who made all the right choices. My prayers are with all of you.

Bethany and family,
I am grateful for the time I knew your Mom at Cyprus. She offered me a shoulder to lean on and someone to talk to when I really needed it. She gave me wonderful advice and pushed me towards a higher education. At that time I felt it wasn't possible, but through the wisdom that your mother shared with me a college degree happened. I am grateful for her support in High School and she helped me become who I am today. I can't imagine what it must be like without her but I hope you take comfort in the wisdom that Candace and others have shared having gone through the loss of a parent so recently. We are all better for having known Rhonda. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you will always have a special place in my heart.
Love,
Amanda

Bethany and family, I know all too well the heartache you are feeling. I also know of the great peace and experience the past few days would have been for you all. Rhonda is one amazing lady. I have so many fond memories of her both at Cyprus and at your house. She was just a great friend and example. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all during this time. I will be eternally thankful that she came into my life. I am who I am today, in part because of her influence.

I've known Rhonda since about the 1st grade at Central Elementary School in St. Anthony, Idaho. Lots of years when I WASN'T around her, but I figured that she'd always turn out to be a great person, because she was very thoughtful, caring, and deep-thinking as a child. Good for her for her promotion out of mortality, but a hard one I'm sure for her surviving loved ones.

Dear Stohl Family - I have so many wonderful memories of Rhonda! I worked with her at Cyprus and we have missed her greatly since her retirement. I remember her sense of humor, the way she offered support and suggestions and her advocacy for our students. When I came to Cyprus she reached out, shared traditions and made me feel a part of the school community. I learned from her words and example. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Rhonda was a great example of patience. I learned so much from serving at her side as visiting teaching companions, from Sunday School, book club and Rhonda's sense of humor. She was a great friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sid and the family. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that families are forever.

Bethany, Synda and Josh, your wonderful mom and dad are two of the most gracious and genuine people we have had the pleasure to know in our lifetime. Having been your next door neighbors for so many years, this like losing a family member. It is very hard for us to express our feelings right now, your mom is, and will always be one of our favorite people she got along with everyone she ever met. You kids will forever be a constant reminder to all of her friends just how wonderful of a person she was. She and your dad raised wonderful children, but who would ever expect anything else from her. She has had so much influence on so many adults and young people in her life, and she had no idea what a great person she really has been. She shaped so many lives by her examples every day of her life, and it all came so easy for her, because it was just her way of life. She is now with some other members of your family that she has missed for so many years, and we can only imagine how that reunion had to be. She will be deeply missed by all of us left here on this earth, but you can be assured that she is very happy and she is going to be a very busy woman until that time when we can all be reunited again, and we will. Know that our hearts are full today with thanks to our savior, that he blessed us with that opportunity to know and love your family for so many years. Thank you and your family for being such great friends. Our prayers are with you and your family. Families are forever.

She was one of the great influences on my life. She always had an encouraging word when times got tough. She always had a way to make me smile and laugh. I remember watching Dirty Dancing and Peggy Sue got Married at her house at least a hundred times. And her Dad's special popcorn recipe. I remember trips to Wilfred, Idaho and her mom's house. Funny farm bridge and trips to the Maverick to fill our mugs. Great memories of a great woman. She was like a mother to me.
Sid, I'm sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in our Prayers. If there is anything you need, please let us know. We will always be here for you.

Rhonda was a wonderful, kind woman. As I read the previous entries in this guest book I noticed most of them were from people who grew up with her in our ward and working in our high school. That shows what an impact she had on the youth around her. She was always there for the youth, she was willing to listen and help anywhere she could. We have all been blessed for having her in our lives. I am greatful for her kindness and friendship. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I have been remembering some of the things that we used to do and laughing about them. What I lot of fun we had together and how I will miss being able to pick up the phone and talk to her. But I'm glad she can do all of the things that she could not. My love and prayers to all of you. Georgiann Wheeler Albany Or.

Dear Stohl Family,
It was my great fortune to become Rhonda's friend. There are times in life when you know someone was sent to you for a reason. This was the case with Rhonda. She had a very specific and important impact on my life and I will miss her greatly. She was a faithful friend and advisor to me.
We shared a love of good books (which did not include the ones she categorized as "bodice rippers" and "lust in the dust" novels), good music (Michael Buble was the latest), good jokes and pranks, and the gospel.
I have been greatly blessed by her love and friendship and will miss her tremendously. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rhonda was a wonderful mother and great friend. We should know, she raised our amazing daughter-in-law Synda, and was a huge influence on our beautiful granddaughters Jordan and Madison. Rhonda will indeed be missed, but we have peace in knowing families can be reunited once again.

Stohl family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rhonda was an amazing lady. I have many fond memories of sitting aroung the kitchen table at my parents house listening to her tell funny stories and jokes. I remember almost every time she called our house, whoever answered the phone would let mom know who it was by breaking out in song..."Help Me Rhonda, help help me Rhonda...." I wonder how many times she heard that one. She was a wonderful example of what our Heavenly Father wants each of us to be. I have a great love for her. I am so happy for her because she can hold her precious babies again. She will surely be missed, but Heaven has gained a faithful warrior.
Much love,
