Richard Merrill Hardy Obituary
1935 ~ 2014
Richard Merrill Hardy (78), son of William Franklin Hardy and Emily Viola Cazier of St. Anthony, Idaho, and youngest of 9 siblings, returned to his Heavenly Father on 4/29/2014.
He fought a nine year battle with cancer and recent heart failure with his devoted wife Marva of 35 years by his side right up to the moment of his passing.
He achieved many military awards of recognition for his contributions to his country for 22 years.
He was a devoted member of the LDS Church and lived his life by his faith. He fulfilled many church callings. The most rewarding being a Temple Ordinance Worker, a privilege he shared with his beloved wife.
Richard loved his role as a family man. His wisdom and advice provided a moral rock for his family, especially his grandchildren. Richard will be missed by many.
A viewing will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. The burial will take place at Camp Williams, followed by a luncheon by the Mount Jordan 2nd Ward, 9331 South 3rd East, Sandy. Online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
