Ruth Allsop Obituary

Ruth Ahlstrom Allsop 1920 ~ 2007 Ruth Ahlstrom Allsop,87, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister returned to her heavenly father on Saturday, June 30, 2007. She was born in Logan, Utah to Albert and Laura Robison. Ruth graduated from Hinckley High School where she had the opportunity to travel the western states as a drummer in the drum and bugle corp. This instilled a love of travel that lasted throughout her life. Ruth received an associate degree, graduating with honors from Branch Agricultural College. Ruth had a keen mind and was mathematically adept. She loved problem solving, puzzles, and playing table games with friends and family. Ruth worked many years as a bookkeeper. She was an astute, hardworking individual who was well respected for superior work. Ruth would strive for excellence in all she did. Ruth found much joy in gardening. She surrounded her home with beautiful flowers and always had fresh fruit and vegetables for friends and neighbors. Ruth married Kay Ahlstrom April 12, 1941 in the Manti Temple. They had four children and were married 36 years. Both Ruth and Kay had their pilot's license and were able to share wonderful times flying together. Ruth married Robert Allsop April 26, 1980. They successfully blended their two families into one. Ruth and Bob had 27 happy years of traveling all over the world. They especially liked being temple workers at the Jordan Temple. Ruth had many other church callings and filled them faithfully with her sweet, caring spirit. Ruth was a pillar of strength in caring for Bob the last few years of his life. Ruth cherished her family and was loved by everyone who knew her. We will always remember her as a vibrant, energetic individual with a kind heart. She will be dearly missed. To Ruth's Family,
I just talked to your mother on the 8th of June, she said she was doing well even though it was lonesome without a companion, but indicated she had a good family. Our love and sympathy go out to all of you. LaMar and I loved flying with your mom and dad.
May you all have peace and happiness.
