Sierra Newbold Obituary
West Jordan, Utah-Our precious daughter, sister, and friend Sierra was tragically taken from us on June 26, 2012 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born November 8, 2005 in Salt Lake City, to Kathy and Brad Newbold.
Sierra was outgoing and made friends everywhere she went. She was eager to grow up, drive, and get her "very own" cell phone. She loved to draw and was an incredible artist at a very young age. She loved dancing, hiking, and being active. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a proud member of the West Jordan Youth Soccer team "Orange Crush". She learned to read and loved reading while in kindergarten and was looking forward to starting first grade. Her best friend was her little sister, Taylor. They did everything together. She had the amazing ability to make everyone happy with her big brown eyes and her beautiful smile.
Those looking forward to seeing her again are her Mom and Dad, (Kathy and Brad), Sisters Aubrey, Jami, and Taylor, her incredible Big Brother Troy, "Stepbrother" Bobby, Grandma and Grandpa Newbold (Reed and Francis), Grandma and Grandpa Mahoney (Dan and Pat); several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Those rejoicing with her in a sweet reunion are her Grandma Newbold (Enid), Aunt Sydni, Uncles Brian and Neal, and Cousin Heather.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 30, at the West Jordan 27th Ward, 2666 West 7000 South. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 29th at the church as well as an hour and a half prior to services on Saturday.
The family would like to thank the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from our family, neighborhood family, and community. Sierra will leave a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and is loved dearly by her family and friends.

I didn't know what to write when I first heard about Sierra. I was one of the teachers of the Jr. Jag Preschoolers. I loved seeing her playing with the other kids and watching her learn and grow. She has one of the cutest smiles ever. She touched a lot of hearts with her sweet heart. She was so friendly. I am so sorry to hear that she is no longer with you. My prayers are with your family and have been ever since I heard what happened.

My heart breaks and my tears flow for you all. Sierra is with Jesus and she knows how much you all hurt and miss her. Know that she has no pain or fear at all, but she is in complete joy and peace being with her Savior. My daughters Kaitlyn and Makayla were friends to your precious little girl they met it kindergarten and loved playing with her. My best memory was when my daugher makayla broke her arm two weeks befor school ended but she didn't want to miss a thing and went back to school the very next day and I went with her to help her but it turns out I didn't need to be there as much as i thought I did Sierra was right there making sure makayla had everything she needed and also that nobody bumped her it was so cute. Please know you have our love and support through this trying time and your precious angel in hevan will always a a friend named Makayla who still talks about her and how she helped her when she was hurt.

We were in the West Jordan 27th ward for almost 2 years not very long ago. My husband Dallon was Sierra's CTR teacher. He was most of all shocked of Sierra's passing. I was in the sunbeams and I just want to say how much Sierra and Elle helped with our little boy Noah during class while my husband taught his lesson. Sierra was so sweet and had a natural way with kids. Newbolds know that your ward family is there for you and they are hurting and praying along with you.
