She was born in Midview, Utah January 14, 1918 an identical twin daughter of Orson C. and Kate L. Musig Nielsen. At the age of 11, her family moved to Hollywood, California where she graduated from high school with honors. She graduated from Stevens-Henager College and was employed with various departments of the United States Government for 21 years, retiring in 1971. On Nov. 6, 1942 she married Harold H. They spent many happy years together traveling to Oregon and playing musical instruments. Newel passed away Aug. 10, 1991. Twila enjoyed music, helping others, playing board games with neighborhood children and genealogy. Twila was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had the opportunity of serving in many positions in the various auxiliaries and she served as a missionary in Las Vegas, Nevada. I will always remember her as the only grandmother I can remember - even though she married my grandfather late in life she made him happy and I thank her for that. I appreciated her spirit more as an adult than I did as a small child, but she will never be forgotten and I miss her very much.

Our favorite memories of Aunt Twila are when we had the opportunity to play music with her and Newel on the organ and accordion. Those two really knew how to make music come alive and it was a treat to watch them play together. They shared their love of music with everyone and it was always a lot of fun to 'jam' with them. Twila was always willing to help Delwyn when he showed at the State Fair and would provide him with a place to sleep and shower. We as a family are grateful for the time Twila spent on our behalf. She was a very strong, independent lady with an extremely kind heart and she was always so willing to give of her time to help those in need. We can only imagine the joyful music in heaven now that she has been reunited with Newel.

To the Family of our dear friend Twila,
Life is Fragile and Twila had just that kind of life. She was an insturment of Love and Christlike friendship to all.
She was a wonderful teacher to our children when they were growing up in the Rose Park 5th Ward in the Rose Park North Stake.
Our only regret is that we didn't keep in touch these past couple years.
We visited Twila when she was in Bountiful but, feel unfortunate that we didn't find her when she moved to Utah County.
Thank You to those who cared for her so Lovingly. I spoke with Sheryl a few times and I know that her concern was always for Twila.
May each of you find Peace and Comfort in knowing others Loved and Cared for your sweet Aunt, Sister and Grandmother.
"Families Are Forever" and Twila is now with your family whom she hasn't seen for a long time.
May Father in Heaven Bless You and Your Family Always.
With Friendship and Love,
