William Anderson Wells, passed away February 11, 2014 in Cottonwood Heights.
Born September 21, 1924 to William Warren and Sarah Anderson Wells. He married Madelyn R. Buckley January 17, 1947. Bill was a dependable, beloved son, dedicated, selfless father, loving grandfather and esteemed veteran of World War II. He worked in Federal Heights as a boy, gardening. Chef for the Auerbach Company, Broadway Coffee Shop. He had a commission in the U.S. Army where he was a first Lieutenant finance officer. He was honorably discharged and returned to Salt Lake City to work for Lincoln G Kelley Public Accounting Firm. Gibbons and Reed Construction Company Controller. He retired from Weyher Construction Company where he was Chief Financial Officer. He attended East High School and the University of Utah.
He is survived by his children: Rebecca Bengtson, William B. Wells, James F Wells; grandchildren: Vivian, Jessica, Bjorn Bengtson, Keenan H. Wells, Shannon C. Wells; and a brother Robert F Wells. Preceded in death by his wife Madelyn, his parents and a sister Sally Williams.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Butler 1st Ward, 2695 East 7000 South, Cottonwood Heights, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in the Salt Lake City Cemetery under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary.
