Margaret Colton Wyler, age 95 of St. George, UT departed this life March 4, 2014. Margaret was born to Byron Owen and Helen Merkley Colton in Vernal, UT on June 10, 1918. She was the 4th of 9 children. She graduated from the University of Utah School of Nursing in 1951, and worked in public health for many years. The last 30 years of her career were spent as office manager and nurse for her husband Dr. Glenn Hanks Wyler in his family practice office in St. George, Utah. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always had a song and a smile to share. Margaret was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wherever she lived. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Margaret is survived by children, Stephen Gould of Colorado, Kathryn (Allen) Young of Tennessee, Douglas (Kaye) Wyler of California, Rhonda (Danny) Snarr of Utah; many special grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Elmo and Miles Colton; sisters, Sarah (Calvin) Neilson and Grace Berrett and their families.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8th with Funeral Services to follow at 2 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, SLC. Interment will immediately follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. www.larkincares.com.
