Mary L. Serassio Obituary
Mary L. Serassio
1917 ~ 2014
Mary L. Serassio "The Boss" left us on March 20, 2014. She was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania on June 4, 1917 to Josephine and Thomas Sunseri. She had a great 96 years, many spent in Lark, Utah with her family and friends and the last 34 years in West Jordan, Utah with many great and helpful neighbors. She loved to spend countless hours in her garden, spring flowers were her passion. When she couldn't be outside, she would work on puzzles. She was also a superb quilter and an excellent seamstress, including making habits for several Nuns. She also loved to cook and bake and would feed anyone that came to visit her. She was an avid bowler and received many trophies in league play. Mary looked forward to her yearly trips to visit family in California and her occasional adventures to Wendover. She was a member of St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church for many years, prior to that she belonged to St. Paschals in Lark, where she maintained the alter linens.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Yvonne and her loving husband Frank. She is survived by her daughter Mary Louise Kehl (Rick), her son Frank Jr. (Julia) and her daughter Jo Rudd (Dru); 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Mary's parting words to us were "Tell everyone I love them." She will forever be remembered for her loving ways. May her soul rest in peace.
Special thanks to Fr. John Evans, for administering the last rights and Dr. Randy Watson for his many years of special care.
