Our beloved Son, Brother, Father and Grandson, Richard Scott Bateman passed away unexpectedly Friday March 28, 2014. He was born December 3, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the second child born to Scott Earl Bateman and Debra Anne Berensen. Richard had a kind heart, he was a big Teddy Bear. He was a loving Son, Brother, Father, Grandson and Uncle. He loved family get together's with good food and lots of fun. He loved camping, scouting, hunting, and fishing, especially with his Father. He was a jokester, and a lot of fun. His daughter, Aurora, age 2 was the light of his life.
Richard was an E.M.T.; was soon to be an R.N. and planned to be a Nurse Practitioner. He worked at Pioneer Valley Hospital in the Emergency Room and was an E.M.T. Specialist at A.T.I. Titanium plant West of Grantsville. He was to start work at Rocky Mountain Clinics on April 1st.
He is survived by his Mother, Father, step Mother Lucy Bateman, Sisters Cristina (Andy) Garvis, Tiffini (Bob) Norgaard, Brother Brandon Bateman, Step brothers Jeremy and Dustin Stout, His precious daughter Aurora, Girl Friend Britnie Huffman, Grandparents Carl and Pat Berensen, Jean Bateman. Preceded in death, Grandfather Glen W. Bateman.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11 AM in the LDS Stake Center located at 8950 So. 1300 W. in West Jordan. Friends may come Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM to the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. in Riverton and Wednesday 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment in the Lake Hills Cemetery in Sandy.
