1929-2014
Dee LaMar Strong was born September 21, 1929 to Clifford O. Strong and Fern Miller Strong in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Diane Lawrence on April 19, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died May 15, 2014.
Dee served faithfully in many callings in the LDS Church. His first love and concern was for his wife, his children and their families.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; two daughters, five sons and spouses: DeeAnne (Steve) Barthel, St. Cloud, Minnesota; Bruce (Paula), West Valley City, Russell (Kae), Riverton, Allan (Chrisy), Sandy, Brian (Mandee), Mesa, Arizona, Colleen (Jim) Jones, Bountiful, Jeffrey (Debbie), Spanish Fork; 43 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by two very special grandchildren; Theodore and Shonee; by his parents; and brothers, Martell, Reed and William J.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014, 12:00 P.M. at the McKay Ward, 1623 S. 500 E. Salt Lake City. Viewings will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, and from 10:30- 11:45 A.M. prior to services at the church.
