James Courtland Egner Sr. was born August 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jeannie Lucile Unopulos and James Columbus Egner, who preceded him in death when he was an infant. Jeannie later married Donald R. Fox.
In his younger days Corky worked as a mechanic at Hayes Brothers Buick. Throughout his life he always enjoyed helping family and friends work on their vehicles. He later was employed with Union Pacific Railroad where he retired with 20 years of service. Corky enjoyed his retirement doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted.
Some of his favorites were tinkering around, fixing things, hunting, camping and ATV rides at his property at Echo Creek Ranch.
As Corky's wishes he will be cremated with his ashes to be spread over his cabin property at a later date.
Corky is survived by his wife Vickie L. Egner; sons James C. (Cathy) Egner Jr. and Troy A. Egner; daughter Stacie (Eric) Turnbow and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebrations in Corky's honor will be held Thursday, May 22nd between 5-8pm at his daughters home 4151 W. Paynter Cove (3895 So.) West Valley City, Utah. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com
