Freada Loretta Hutchings Mascaro|
On Friday morning, August 1, 2014, Freada Loretta Hutchings Mascaro (76), passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. After a 2 ½ year battle with kidney failure, Freada finally reunited with her loving husband Jim. Freada was born on May 26, 1938, the 12th of 17 children born to Claude and Sarah Hutchings, in a little cabin outside Ada, OK, which is now on the historical registry as the Robert Kerr cabin. Her father was a share cropper and lived in Oklahoma and in Texas and then moved to Evanston, WY, when Freada was a teenager. It was in Evanston where she met the love of her life James Michael Mascaro and married him on Sept. 30, 1955. If you asked Freada what her greatest accomplishment was, she would say her family. Freada and Jim had 3 children: Casey Mike (Shirlene) Mascaro, Stacy James (Lori) Mascaro, and Tammy Marie (Mike) McKee. They were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and worried endlessly about all. Freada loved to shop and she loved trips with her sisters and the endless hours of laughter they shared. She was a gracious and kind woman with a special talent of making everyone feel welcome in her home. Sunday spaghetti dinner was a big deal and everyone was expected to be there. Freada always felt it was important to keep the family close. Even though she may be gone, she will always be close to our hearts. Freada is survived by sisters: Ginger, Wanda, JohnnySue, Joan, Kay, Barbara, MinnieEllen, and brothers: Dale and Gene Hutchings. Preceded in death by parents, 8 brothers and sisters and her husband Jim. At this time the family would like to thank: Wasatch Dialysis, Country Life Care, and Summit Home Health Care for the wonderful outpouring of love and care they gave to Freada.
