Rex Dee Babcock, 78, of Hodgenville, Kentucky passed away on August 19, 2014 of a heart attack at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Rex was born July 20, 1936 in Price, Utah to Elmer Dee and Viola Slaugh Babcock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Rex was a retired power tool repair man. He lived in the Salt Lake City, Utah area for many years before traveling the country and then settling in Kentucky.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Boyd Babcock and a sister, Joyce Babcock Williams.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tahona and Mike Snellen of Vine Grove, Kentucky; four granddaughters: Tasha Cleaver, Kendra Gallegos, Debra Ross, MaKayla Babcock and 10 great-grandchildren: Damian, Jonah, Annabell, Alleanna, Arianna, Junior, Haylea, Khylla Mae, Charlee, and Chole: and his faithful companion, Hannah.
Private burial service will take place later at the Roosevelt Cemetery in Roosevelt, Utah. A marker in his honor, will be placed in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central in Radcliff, Kentucky. William R. Rust Funeral Home, Hodgenville Chapel , is in charge of arrangements.
