Clyde L. Wright 1947 ~ 2009 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Clyde Larvin Wright passed away Dec. 15, 2009 in West Valley City, Utah.He was born April 25, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Larvin W. and Lawanna Beck Wright. He married Gaye Barron April 18, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Clyde spent a life of service to others, freely giving of his time and money. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Spending 32 years serving in the Boy Scouts of America, he received the Silver Beaver Award. After retiring from Salt Lake City Water Reclamation after 38 years he worked for Industrial Casters. As an avid outdoorsman, Clyde enjoyed camping and fishing, and loved spending time with his family and extended family. He loved to laugh and had an infectious personality. He is survived by his wife; children, Glenn (Melonee), Denise (Scott) Mackay, and Rob (Kim); 11 1/2 grandchildren; brother, Lorin (Sherrie); sister-in-law, Joanie Driffill; brother-in-law, James (Dorethea) Barron; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Kathy Wright. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Ridgeland Ward, 4251 S. 4800 W., where friends and family may call 10-10:45 a.m. Viewing will also be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at Sunnyvale Ward, 3671 W.
