BETTY GALLOWAY Obituary
Betty Elaine Richardson Galloway 1923 ~ 2010 An elegant lady has passed from this earthly existence. Betty Elaine Richardson Galloway left us March 26, 2010. She was born in Mammoth, Utah on February 24, 1923 to George Weslie Richardson and Pauline Isabella Butler Richardson. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School and attended Henagar School of Business in Salt Lake City. She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Betty was an Executive Secretary for Utah Railroad, GMAC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Associated Specialties. She was married to Fredrick Wayne Galloway and later divorced. She raised her children, Wesley Wayne Galloway - SLC, UT; Chad (Donna) Richardson Galloway - Kissimmee, FL; Michelle Marie (Bob) Babbel - Corvallis, OR with love, care, and as a single mother. She was the adoring grandmother to Alisha Galloway, Savannah Galloway, Alana Galloway, Angelina Galloway, Adam Galloway, Nathan Babbel, Breannon (Adam) Babbel-Jensen, Danielle Babbel, Benjamin Babbel. Betty also had five beautiful great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her beloved sisters and brothers: Donna (Clem) Fullmer, Thomas Richardson, Patricia Fullmer, Pauline (Maury) Ballif, Larry (Lana) Richardson, and Michael (Melva) B. Richardson; sisters-in-laws: Sharon (Stanley) Richardson, and Verla (Lynn) Richardson. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Paul, Stanley, Sterling, Lynn and her sister-in-law, Gloria. Her dear friend of many years Robert Schaaf, also preceded her in death. She loved to travel and visited places all over the world. Her favorite pastime was meeting her friends and family for lunch at Little America. Her last years were spent peacefully at Olympus Ranch Retirement Center. A heartfelt thanks to Tami and Marvie for their tender loving care. Betty will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 5, 2010 at Holbrook Mortuary - 3251 South 2300 East Salt Lake City, UT. There will be a viewing at the Mortuary on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Benjamin, UT Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. following the service.
