DONALD MILLER Obituary
Donald Paul Miller 1924 ~ 2010 Donald Paul Miller died Tuesday, June 8, after a long battle with cancer. He was 86. He was born April 28, 1924, to Sarah M. Thompson and Lester L. Miller in Richfield, Utah. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, primarily aboard the USS Markab, a repair ship. He married his "very, very best friend," Ramona Warner, on Oct. 18, 1945, in Richfield. They lived briefly in the Puget Sound area while he finished his Navy service. They moved to Salt Lake City in 1946, settling in the Rose Park area in 1955. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 26, 1963. Don held many positions in the LDS Church. He is survived by daughters Elease Thompson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Larene (David) Sorensen, Mayfield, Utah; and son Don (Solveig) Miller, Denmark; 10 grandchildren; eght great-grandchildren; and his brother David Miller, of Nephi, Utah. His wife, Ramona, preceded him in death on Oct. 19, 2005. His brothers Lester, Lowell, Earl and Coy, and sister Linna Louise also died previously. The family would like to thank Beehive Home of Centerville and 1st Choice Hospice for their loving care in the past few months. Funeral services are set for Saturday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at 760 N. 1200 W., East Chapel, Salt Lake City. There will be a viewing, Friday, June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S. 200 East, Salt Lake City.
