LINDA WILLIAMS Obituary
Linda Lee Williams 1946 ~ 2011 Our Daughter, Sister and Caring Friend, Linda Lee Williams passed away on Saturday March 19, 2011. She was born on February 9, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawaii to her parents William Harrison Williams and Mary Helen Sims-Williams. Linda was 65 years young with the heart of school girl. When it came to loving and serving children there was none better, she had a long and distinguished career as a dedicated and loving school teacher. She received a BA and MA from BYU in education. She wrote that "Teaching was her life" and as her friends and family, we know this to be true. She spent countless hours in and out of the classroom preparing, purchasing and planning for the time she would spend teaching her children. And after 38 years of teaching she retired and became "the favortie substitute". Linda's generosity knew no bounds; she was perpetually donating to her numerous favorite charities. If she wasn't giving she wasn't living. We will miss her generous heart, compassion, and remarkable rhyming abilities. At the time of her death, Linda was President of GSLREA (Granite Salt Lake Retired Educators Association). She was also a very active member and former president of the Delta Kappa Gamma Omega chapter - an honorary teachers' sorority. Linda was also a great "mommy" to her beloved dogs Missy and Riley. Linda is survived by her Mother, Father, sister Dee Ann and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday March 26th 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral home located at 4330 S. Redwood Road Salt Lake City Utah.
