STEVEN JEX Obituary
Steven DeWayne Jex 1962 ~ 2011 Steven died August 11, 2011 from a brain bleed. He was born May 7, 1962 to Arlando William (Dick) and Mary Jane Turner Jex in Lehi, Utah. He lived in Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove and was raised in Murray, Utah. He attended Arlington Elementary and Murray Junior and Senior High Schools. He was active in the LDS Church, sports, and scouting. He served in the Utah Army National Guard. He lived in Storefront sheltered housing for 19 years. He loved family gatherings, all children, music, sports and being a clown passing out balloons to children in Liberty and Pioneer Parks. He is survived by his parents; brothers: Larry (Linda) and Jerry; Larry's children: Shilo and baby Arthur, James, Julie, Jason and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Denzel and Isetta Littleford Turner, Hewitt and Edna Loosli Jex; aunts: Margaret Thorsen, Carol Turner; and cousins: Michael Mason, Jono Carson, Lois Buckley, Michael and Kenneth Sorensen, Scott Turner. Celebrate his life with us on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Murray 12th Ward at 363 East Vine Street in Murray, Utah. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks to Storefront's Joe Chacon, staff at SLRMC, Willow Wood Care Center and St. Mark's Hospital. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations for final expenses to: Mary Jane Jex at 4893 Center Street, Murray, Utah. Goodbye to our Gentle Giant.
