Trevor Strong Obituary
"Our Missionary"
Trevor returned to his Father in Heaven Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 while faithfully serving as a missionary for the LDS church. Trevor was born in American Fork, UT, on April 5, 1990 to his parents, Gordon D. and Deborah K. Strong.
Trevor graduated from Kearns High School, where he was active in soccer and basketball. He was called to serve in the McAllen, TX, Spanish speaking mission October 2009, where he faithfully served for 2 years. Trevor and his twin brother, Scott, were inseparable and will always be best friends. He was very well known for his height and his big smile. Trevor was a hard worker and loved to serve others. He loved children and was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews. Always with a smile on his face, he was uplifting and had an amazing sense of humor. Trevor was a quiet leader and led by example. He was excited to serve as a missionary and loved the people he served so much he decided to extend beyond his release date. He was loved and will be missed by the countless people whose lives he touched.
Trevor is survived by his parents; grandparents, Eben and Barbara Blomquist, and Lorraine Strong; siblings, Davis (Holly) Strong, Kiersti (Bryan) Kinyon, Andrew (Heidi) Strong, Jeffrey Strong, McKell Strong, and Scott Strong; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald D. Strong; and niece, Addison Strong.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns Utah Stake Center, 4260 W. 5212 So., Kearns, Utah. Viewings will be at the Stake Center Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Alpine City Cemetery. Dear Strong Family,
Words cannot express how sad we are for your loss. Although we never met Trevor, we can see by his example that he loved the Lord and serve Him by serving others sharing his testimony and building the kingdom, as we know he is still doing now in his new assignment. Trevor and his companion were killed on our daughter Brynn's 25th birthday, and we feel your pain as she was tragically taken from us in a similar hit and run bicycle accident on June 7th of this year. My condolences to the Strong Family. We remember elder Strong standing every Sunday at the door opening and welcoming the members that were coming to church on Sunday. How could we forget the tall elder well dressed with his suit, who always had a smile on his face. The Sanchez family remembers him very well; you can tell he loved to share the gospel. He will be remembered always from all those who knew him here in South Texas, as a servant of the Lord. May the Lord bless the Strong family from the Sanchez family.

My son is Elder Eric Porter. He is serving in McAllen in Mercedes and worked often with your son. He spoke very highly of Elder Strong and what a shining example he was to everyone. Elders Strong and Walker would visit our home. It was great to have some contact with the Church. I really appreciated the visits we had. One night as they left I told them that it would be easy to remember their names. They were Walk Strong. I saw them leave and that phrase stayed in my mind. There are not enough words that can express the loss of a young missionary, a son. This morning I wrote this for the two elders we loss. It comes from the heart. Thank you for sending your son to be with us. Elder Strong was a good missionary.

They were both (Elder Walker and Elder Strong) very worthy men that really tried to serve the Lord and try to help others through the difficulties of this life by trying to invite people to come to Christ... they did it with love.. even thou i don\'t know them..

Words do not describe the emotions I have been experienceing since hearing of this tragedy. The Strong family has been near and dear to our family since they moved into the neighborhood over 20 years ago. I pray that everyone involved will find peace and comfort through the knowledge that God is always there, and Trevor is playing on His team now.

Our family shares your deep sorrow for the loss of your beautiful son. We have been so heartened with the expressions of deep and living faith that you have shared. I have the best memory of Kiersti and I taking Scott and Trevor to a high school dance as our little 8-year old dates! I can attest to Trevor's tireless enthusiasm and his wonderful personality.
