Howard E. Peters passed away peacefully at his home on February 26th.
He was born November 17, 1924 in American Fork, Utah to James Edward Peters and Eliza Chipman Peters. He had six brothers and four sisters. He married Lova Bennett on March 21, 1953. They were married for 42 years until her death and had two children.
Howard was a World War II Veteran who served in the Army, and was honored with the Purple Heart for his service to his country.
He worked for American Fork City for over 30 years and retired.
Howard loved Thoroughbred Race Horses, and enjoyed owning and training and racing horses with his brothers Paul and Dale and his son Jonathan. His sister Arlene and her husband were most always present at the races.
Howard enjoyed spending time with his family, his friends and most of all his sweetheart, Glenda Murdoch. This wonderful lady and her family are loved and appreciated by our family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Lova, his parents, his brothers and sisters; Stanley, Elmo, Lois, Elizabeth, Karl, John (Jack), Dale, Millie, and Paul.
He is survived by his friend and sweetheart of many years, Glenda Murdoch, his sister Arlene, his children; Rebecca Peters Allen, and Jonathan H. Peters, his grandchildren; grandsons Jentry H. Peters, Jonathan Riley Allen, Jordan Paul Allen, William Brooks Allen, and granddaughter Sarah Ashley Allen, and two great grandchildren; Hadley James Treadwell, and Cash William Treadwell.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork Cemetery, 600 North Center. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00-10:40 a.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork.
