Connie Ann Kay Pace of Sandy, Utah passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2013 of breast cancer. She was born to Roscoe Kay and Maud Smith Kay in the family home in Santaquin, Utah on November 29th, 1940. At age 3 the family moved to Provo, Utah. She attended public schools in Provo and graduated from Provo High in 1959.
Connie married her beloved husband Russell on April 30th, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. They celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 30th, 2009.
She worked at Barbazon in Provo and in 1966 the family moved to Sandy where she resided until passing. In 1974 Connie was employed at Valley Drug in Midvale and became a pharmacy technician for 30 years. She also worked part time at Gibsons Pharmacy for 5 years. She loved the other employees and felt like all were family. She also made a lot of friends with the customers and enjoyed going to work.
Connie and Russell loved traveling and the camping trips in their RVs over the years with their precious family. The annual Easter, Memorial Day, Fish Lake, bow hunts, regular deer hunts and Island Park trips will always be treasured. They also enjoyed golfing together and had some wonderful trips with friends and family. Connie did a lot of sewing and knitting for her little girls when they were young. After retiring she has done a lot of crochet work for her family and friends. She was a remarkable person with a love of life. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Julie (Dave) Jensen and Lynette (Dave) Lundberg, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 granddogs.
The family would like to thank Jan and her team at Curo Hospice and the nurses at Rocky Mountain Care Center for their exceptional help and care of Connie.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25 at 10 a.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale, where friends and family may call for a viewing on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday from 9-10 a.m. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery, Santaquin, Utah. www.goffmortuary.com
