Ryan Hunter Riska passed away on April 23, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born July 13, 1950 in Provo, Utah. When he was three weeks old he was lovingly adopted by LeRoy and Norma Hunter Riska. Ryan grew up in Crescent, Utah where he graduated from Jordan High School. Ryan loved to play sports. He loved playing baseball as he grew up; and loved fly fishing, and tying his own flies. He loved his dog, Snoop.
Ryan was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving our country during the Vietnam War. After returning from Vietnam he worked for Hill Air Force Base as an Advanced Cruise Missile Technician. Ryan took a medical retirement from HAFB when his health began to fail him.
Ryan married Tana Mills on March 11, 1976; they later divorced.
Survivors: daughter, Pearl (Gary) Kjar; grandchildren, Michael, Johnathan "JT", Grace, Makayla Kjar; parents, LeRoy and Norma; sister, Nicolene (Parley) Turnbow.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, with a viewing on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Crescent Cemetery.
Ryan will be greatly missed by his family. We wish to thank Chris Christensen for the loving care he gave to Ryan during the final days of his life.
