Donald Ray Jackson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on 4/17/1927 and passed "on to greener pastures" on 4/26/2013 at the age of 86.
He is survived by his children Edward (Bobbie) Carroll; Rhonda (Lou) Cash and Jody Neve; eight grandchildren including Tiffany (Albert) Knudson; Tracy Cash; Travis Hamilton and Stacey and Eric Moutsos, five great-grandchildren and brothers and sisters; Arthur Jackson; Betty (Jack) Patterson, Earl (Irene) Jackson, Leona (Garth) Cowley, Richard (Holly) Jackson, Eva Watson, Jerry L. Jackson, Melba Jackson and Ruth Caldwell. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Trudy Jackson, brothers and sisters; Vern Jackson , Clarence Jackson Thomas R. Jackson and Shirley Prince.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday May 1, 2013 at 2pm at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services. Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.
During his life time he served in the Korean War and was co-owner of City Cab Company with his brother Arthur Jackson. He often enjoyed carpentry work, camping in the mountains and fishing. Friends and family members were his most valued treasures!
