Kathie Knight Obituary
1941 - 2013
Kathie Bradley Knight, our beautiful, sweet, loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully wrapped in the arms of her sweetheart on July 7, 2013 after her 23 year battle with breast cancer. Kathie was born on October 16, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to her loving parents Paul M. Bradley and Lois Rawson Bradley. She is the second of four children (Paul R. Bradley, Gary R. Bradley, and Kristine Bradley Read). She graduated from Highland High School. She attended the University of Utah where she was a Delta Gamma and a member of Angel Flight. Kathie married Stephen Gates Knight on September 27, 1962 in the Logan temple. Kathie radiated love and acceptance to all she knew. This gift of Kathie's ability to love made those around her feel special. She always found the good in everyone and everything. Her life-long love of teaching led her to many opportunities, including, owning a preschool, teaching emotionally disturbed children, and many teaching callings in the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints. Kathie always felt one of her biggest blessings was teaching her relief society sisters, whom she loved dearly. All who had the opportunity to learn from her knew of her devotion and love she had for the Savior. Kathie's biggest passion in life was spending time with her husband of 51 years, her 4 children, and her grandchildren. Her favorite place to spend this time with them was at their Bear Lake Cabin.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Lois Bradley. She is survived by her husband Stephen G. Knight and four children: Bradley S. Knight (Carrie), Nicole Knight, Kimberly Knight Quick (Bryan), Stephanie Knight Broman (Ted), 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Kathie will be dearly missed by all but the one that will miss her most, is her sweetheart Steve.
A viewing will be held on Friday July 12th from 6-8pm and on Saturday July 13th from 10:45-11:45 prior to the service at 12:00pm at the Little Cottonwood 1st Ward on 6350 South Rodeo Lane (1545 East).
