1938 - 2013
Alma Jay Young born February 25, 1938 in Fairview, Utah to Jesse and Alice Young. Jay married Kathleen Farrell on June 2, 1962 (divorced). He married Glenda Wulfenstein on June 4, 1976. Jay passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, November 21, from the effects of mesothelioma.
Jay was a talented violin maker, artist, musician, inventor and composer. He worked at Geneva Steel for 30 years as a crane operator. Jay and Glenda served five missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jay is survived by his wife, Glenda Young and children; Bevan Wulfenstein (Patricia), Janeth Jensen (Ronald), Stanley Wulfenstein (Neisa), Kelly Workman (Stan), Gary Wulfenstein (Kristi), Gina Welch (Will), Richard Wulfenstein (Natashia), 28 Grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and siblings; Wilford Young, Ruth Baum, Dorthy Folk, Melvin Young, Lavon Richards, Donna Tanner, Carma Bowen, Ludean Hutchison.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 27 at 11:00am at the Windsor Stake Center, 60 East 1600 North in Orem. Viewings will be held November 26 from 6-8pm and the 27th from 10-11:00am.
