Robert John Lucking Obituary
In Loving Memory
Robert John Lucking, 50, of Heber City, Utah, is finally at peace after passing away Monday, December 30, 2013.
Born in Minnesota, Robert served his community as a law enforcement officer for the last 20 years in Wasatch and Summit Counties, and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Robert loved to make people laugh and was always fun to be around, but never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved helping people. For several years he spear-headed the Summit County "Shop With A Cop" program which helped provide toys for underprivileged children at Christmas. If you ever needed a police officer's assistance, this was the guy you wanted to show up.
He had a love for life surpassed only by the love he had for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Amber Lucking, and their four children; Ashley (Craig) Smith, Justin Lucking, Whitney (Quinn) Clyde, and Jordan Lucking, who is currently serving an LDS mission in Johannesburg, South Africa; and two grandsons; Crew and Miles. He is also survived by his mother Phyllis Lucking, and his brothers, Rick Lucking, Joe Lucking, and Tony Lucking. Also his sisters, Linda Madsen, Mary Tolbert, Paula Foster, and Lisa Williams. He is preceded in death by his father Robert M. Lucking.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 3rd at the Heber LDS 3rd Ward building at 240 east 400 South. A Viewing will be held prior to funeral services from 9-10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Heber City Cemetery.
