Winston Stanley Glass lost his courageous battle with cancer at home with his wife, Loie , on January 31, 2014. He arrived as a joyful blessing to Stanley and Wynona Glass on December 5, 1945, in Pocatello, Idaho. He received his education in McCammon, Idaho and then went on to graduate from BYU. He joined the ROTC program and entered the Air Force as an officer and earned the rank of Captain. He trained as a pilot on B-52s but preferred the T-38 Talon.
He married his sweetheart and best friend Loie Gardner on October 5, 1979. They spent most of their married life in Riverton, Utah. He enjoyed coaching his sons basketball and baseball teams in Riverton. He loved participating in the scouting program and going on scout camps with his sons. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was an active member of the LDS church. He served an LDS mission in Hawaii.
He participated in various different businesses over the years but the most recent was being an owner-operator for Central Refrigeration.
Winston is survived by his wife, Loie Glass, and was a loving father to four children: Lisa Marie Henderson (Daniel), Molly Ann Frost, Joseph Winston (Stephanie) and Zachary William (Nicole), and ten beautiful grandchildren: Hailee, Jennica (Cory), Connor, Gavin, Marin, Sara, Hannah, Julia, MadieLyn and Graden. He is survived by his brother Joseph B. Glass.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Jenkins -Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, UT. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at the LDS Riverton Ranch Ward building, 1450 W 13200 S, Riverton, UT, with a viewing to begin at 10:00 prior to the service.
