Howard Logsdon Obituary
Howard M Logsdon
Sept 27, 1927 - Mar 12, 2014
Life is not the same since losing the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and respected jeweler. Howard was a man of honesty and integrity. He owned and operated Time Shop Jewelers for over 50 years and had a multi-generational, loyal clientele. He served as president of the Intermountain Retail Jewelers and was Jeweler of the Year in 1980. Howard was proud of his service in the US Navy during World War II.
He married Lynda Heyn on September 3, 1975. Later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They shared a special love and devotion. "Together Forever."
He is survived by his wife, Lynda, and children, Lane Logsdon (Debbie Gardiner), Minda Wood (Kevin), Susan Jordan (Bob), Lisa Vardakis (Mike), John Logsdon, and his loving and devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Hansen, his parents, Howard Peter Logsdon and Alice "Elsie" Charlotte Motzkus and his sister, Sandra Hancock.
Special thanks to Dr. Peter Nielsen, Dr. James Pearl and Dr. Russell Maxwell, who made it possible for us to enjoy three extra years with Howard.
We will have a celebration of his life for friends and family on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. A family graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Howard enjoyed traveling and visited 48 countries. One of his favorite places was St. Petersburg, Russia.
We shall find peace.
We shall hear the angels,
we shall see the sky
sparkling with diamonds.
