Kenneth Junior Bate, loving husband, passed away April 3, 2014. He was born in Gridley, California on April 14, 1928. Ken was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in the Korean War. He married Vera Olsen on February 24, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple. Following her passing, he met and married Ana Rosa Restripo in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by his brothers, Russell and Bob Bate and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held April 11, 2014 in the Crestview LDS Chapel, 2795 East Crestview Drive at 11 am. Viewing prior to services at 10 am. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.larkinmortuary.com.

I am glad that you were my (step)father. The thing that I will miss the most about you is your singing voice, I hear it in my head whenever we sing in sacrament meeting. Your grandsons send their love too.

Ken was our next door neighbor on Harrison Ave for many years, and we grew to to great friends he will be missed Paul Patrica Kendrick and Chase Adams!
