Terry passed away April 12, 2014 of an accidental fall that contributed to complications of diabetes. He passed away on his deceased son's birthday. He fought valiantly to live for several years. Terry was born May 5, 1948 to Darlene and Armond Kinder. He married Susan Austin Kinder on May 16, 1969; they had two sons, Brandon Ray and Jeffrey Austin.
Terry honorably served in the Marine corps. from 1965-1968. He served two tours of duty in Artillery in Vietnam, June1966- July 1967, and February 1968-October 1968. The effects of Agent Orange ravaged his body with diabetes, which took his eye and leg along with several other complications. He was also diagnosed with Parkinsons.
Terry and Susan owned and operated American Lumber 1979-1996. He was always there to help anyone who needed it.
Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan; son, Brandon (Brandy); daughter-in-law, Tonya, adopted son, Mike; 7 grandchildren, Ryan"Big Ry", Jordan "Joseph", Brittany (Max) Riley "Bones", Carter, Samantha, Jak; 2 great grandsons, Logan and Dakota Jeff "Valentine"; siblings, Brent (Cheryl), twin sister, Sherry (Don), Evelyn (Dan), Debbie,Monty (Georgia), Linda; In-laws, Don (Jolie), Paul (Robin), Betty (Bill). Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bud and Dave; son, Jeffrey (Aug. 22, 2012); In-laws, Elden and Grace Austin, and several relatives and friends.
Special thanks to everyone at the VA Hospital and Home Based Healthcare for their loving care over the years, Larry, Tom, Kristy, Janet, Gwen, Vicky, Kim and Pam; also Physical Therapists Bart and Frank.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014, 12:00 Noon at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 10-11:45 a.m. at the Mortuary. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, West Valley City. Utah.
