Edith Lindsay Obituary

1944 ~ 2015
Edith Camille Olsen Lindsay was surrounded by family as she passed from this life after a courageous ten years fight with Alzheimer's Disease on January 21, 2015. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, teacher and friend.
She was born on May 16, 1944 to Clifford Andrew Olsen and Ada LaVon Bartholomew Olsen in Ephraim, Utah. She attended Ephraim Elementary, Ephraim Junior High, and Manti High School. She graduated from Snow College and Utah State University. She worked with her parents raising sheep on the mountains East of Ephraim. She taught High School in Hagerman and Wendell, Idaho, as well as Manti, Utah. She worked with troubled youth in conjunction with SUWS (School of Urban and Wilderness Survival). She served as an EMT in both Hagerman, Idaho and Ephraim, Utah. She was called to serve in the France-East Mission from 1965-1967. Camille and Lynn served as a couple on an LDS service mission at Camp Atoka in the Ogden Valley.
She was married to Lynn West Lindsay on September 6, 1968. She has four sons and three daughters, Russell Kent, Rebecca Anne, Kirk West, Teresa Camille, Grant Clifford, Colleen Grace and Bruce Walter.
Camille was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Russell Clifford Olsen, Milton Myron Olsen and Douglas Clark. She is survived by he husband, Lynn, sons and daughters Russell (Tracy), Rebecca, Kirk (Sharon), Teresa, Grant, Colleen (Doug) and Bruce. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
The Lindsay Family would like to express their appreciation to the Mission at Community Living Center in Centerfield and Laurel Groves Assisted Living: Memory Care Unit in Nephi for the loving care they gave to Camille. We would also like to thank Dr. Gary Cole and Dr. Tristy Christensen for the medical care of Camille. Last, we would like to thank the team at Intermountain Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care, support, and advice given to Camille and family during the last four months of her courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Ephraim 2nd Ward building, 450 North 200 West in Ephraim, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday, evening January 25th, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Ephraim 2nd ward and one hour prior to the services. Family graveside services will be in Liberty, Utah.
