Baylee Hoaldridge Obituary
Baylee Brooke Hoaldridge, 15, of Provo, Utah passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the University of Utah Hospital after a four-and-a-half month-long valiant fight to survive following a UTV accident that left her burned over 65% of her body. She was surrounded by her loving parents, brothers, grandparents, and many other family members and friends. She was comfortable and pain-free as heaven's angels gathered to take her home to her Heavenly Father.
Baylee was born January 13, 2000 to BJ and Nicole Hoaldridge. She had a light in her eyes and an obvious zest for life from infancy. She filled the world around her with laughter and sunshine. She loved her older brother Brayden, and she joyfully embraced becoming a big sister to her two younger brothers, Ozzy & Squints. They will miss her tremendously. She continued to brighten the world with her smile as she grew into a bubbly young woman full of promise and potential.
Baylee was known by all those who knew her as the life of the party and the heart of the family. She loved to laugh, and she constantly kept everyone entertained. The only girl growing up in a house full of boys, Baylee loved sports and enjoyed playing basketball and softball. She also loved drinking Dirty Dr. Pepper, taking pictures (and lots of selfies), playing on her phone, singing, and being silly with her many friends.
Baylee loved spending time with her family, especially her grandparents and cousins. She loved babies and had a special bond with several of her baby cousins. Everyone loved being around her and would gravitate towards her because of her big smile and love for life. She also was a great listener and always wanted to help people feel better and be happy.
Baylee's life was abruptly altered when, on July 4, 2015, a tragic accident left her severely burned. Since that date, she endured 27 surgeries and countless setbacks as she struggled to fight to survive. Baylee's parents never left her side as they endlessly longed for their only daughter's recovery. Thousands of people, including family, friends, and complete strangers who learned of Baylee's story on the Be Brave Baylee Facebook page prayed for her, and she surprised us all by beating the odds countless times. She fought an insurmountable battle, and she fought with everything she had. However, heaven called her home. She is now free from pain and will fly with the angels until we can be with her again.
Baylee is survived by her parents, BJ and Nicole Hoaldridge, her three brothers, Brayden, Austin (Ozzy), and Bryson (Squints), her grandparents, Dave & Mary Smith and Wayne & Annette Hoaldridge, her aunts & uncles, her many cousins, and her countless friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Edgemont North LDS Stake Center located at 345 East 4525 North in Provo, Utah. Friends and family may call on Monday, November 23 from 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Both viewings will be held at the Stake Center. Burial will follow at the EastLawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo. Condolences may be sent online at www.bergmortuary.com. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.bergmortuary.com.
The family wishes to thank the thousands of people who prayed daily for Baylee's recovery. They would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and physical therapy staff at the University of Utah Burn Unit who cared for Baylee during her stay.

I never had the opportunity to meet you, but followed your story on FB and I'm forever changed because of you, Oh how I prayed for you to be able to heal and go home. Oh how I pleaded for your health.
I was so sadden with the news of your passing, but then I felt the peace of the spirit knowing that you are now free of pain and sorrow. Now my prayers are for your family that they might feel the peace and love of the Savior embracing them as they say their good byes to you for the time being. I pray that the power of the Atonement of Christ will carry them and those of us who love you. Walk happily hand in hand with the Savior in Heaven knowing that your did what you were sent here to do which was to share your light with many people and to show us how to be brave. Perfect Brightness of Hope

Baylee had a great impact in this world. She taught us all how to be brave. How to keep fighting and how to never give up.She reminded us to hold on to our families a little tighter. I didn't know her, but from what I heard she was an awesome beautiful, and overall great girl. I'm glad I got to hear about her story and how she never stopped fighting. That's what truly matters. I find comfort knowing that she is no longer in pain, and has left this world having done the best she could.

My condolences to the Hoaldridge Family. I learned about Baylee's history thru Teegan's page ( He is my best friend nephew) Ever since I readed her history, I was went to the page to check the updates and pray for her. It's very sad and heart breaking that a beautiful, happy, vibrant and so sweet girl had to die like this, so soon. My heart goes out to this family. I am so sorry for your loss, no parents should be burying their child.

Dearest love, and deepest condolences to the families. I know the family mainly through having Ozzy in my 2nd grade class a few short years ago, and through Canyon Crest Elementary School. The Hoadridges are a blessed family to have had Baylee in their lives for 15 years. May she walk, talk, share and be with her Heavenly Family, until they all can be together again.
